Theia Simulation and Bivios Sign MOU to Collaborate in the Dynamic Simulation of Industrial and Energy Systems

Bivios is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Theia Simulation, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration to advance the dynamic simulation of energy intensive industrial systems.

Together, Bivios and Theia Simulation are able to offer our customers end-to-end dynamic modelling of both complex physical systems, such as manufacturing processes or supply chains, and renewable energy systems. Both companies have identified the increasing customer demand for integrated optimisation of both the physical and energy components of systems, and the potential of this to deliver greater operational efficiency, lower operating costs and enhanced profitability across a broad range of industries.

The collaboration will include exploration of the benefits of developing integrated tools for the techno-economic analysis of both existing industries, such as mining and mineral processing, and an exploration of tools for industries that have the potential to drive the future economic growth of Australia, such as green iron and renewable fuels.

“Our partnership with Theia allows us to deliver a more complete and powerful modelling capability for our customers,” said Max van Someren, Managing Director – Australia at Bivios. “Together, we can help energy‑intensive industries achieve higher performance with lower environmental impact.”

"The shift to renewable energy creates complex interdependencies between energy supply and industrial operations," said Abbey Trewenack, Managing Partner at Theia Simulation. "Our collaboration with Bivios enables clients to explore both domains simultaneously, delivering the confidence needed for major capital decisions in an evolving energy landscape."
