Sustainable Energy Systems Analyst Joins Bivios in Perth

We are pleased to welcome Dani van Elk to the Bivios team as a Sustainable Energy Systems Analyst.

Dani brings to Bivios experience across industrial R&D, energy consulting and applied research in hydrogen, electrification and next-generation iron-based energy systems, with a strong focus on metal fuels, electrochemical energy conversion and energy systems modelling.

Specific examples of Dani’s experience include developing electrochemical electrode optimisation strategies for green iron and electrolysis applications at the Institute for Frontier Materials, modelling optimal solar-hydrogen dispatch systems at the Queensland University of Technology, and analysing fusion plasma fuel uncertainty at DIFFER. He also contributed to industrial energy audits and efficiency assessments at Stork and supported the development of a hydrogen-based iron pellet storage proof-of-concept system with TEAM SOLID. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology, where he specialised in techno-economic modelling of electrochemical iron reduction pathways.

Dani has has kicked off his role at Bivios supporting a mining client in the assessment of their Sustainability Material Topics. We’re also not going to let his fantastic experience in techno-economic modelling go to waste, so will be putting him to work building compelling business cases for the decarbonisation of heavy industry.

Welcome to the team Dani!
